Anna Belle first came to Nicaragua at age 13. She first noticed the sleeping situation for the children who lived in the barrio, and she dedicated her own money to buy one family a bed. Her mission then became for every child in Los Brasiles to sleep in a bed at night rather than on the dirt floor or on a mattress with multiple other relatives. Beds for the Barrio is a mission within the Mission for Nicaragua platform. Anna Belle led 17 of her own friends here on trips before her 18th birthday, and she continues to advocate for the bed ministry and lead students to visit the ministry. Her desire is to one day live full-time in Nicaragua after she graduates with her degrees in International Mission and social sciences.
